isisHawaii sponsored the 2011-12 Hawaii Robofest Seasonal Kickoff on Saturday, October 1st, 2011, hosted by community partner, Highlands Intermediate School. Robofest (an autonomous scholastic robotics program originated at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, MI) is entering it’s 5th year in Hawaii. The Hawaii region boasts the largest number of participants in this international program, with over 220 students (G4-12) participating in last year’s tournament.
Each year, the Hawaii program announces a unique local theme for its exhibition category entries. “BOT-Synergies” is an exploration of Hawaii’s biotic and abiotic systems and how technology (specifically, robotics) can catalyze these synergies.
If you would like to learn more about this program, please send your inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org and visit the national website at http://www.robofest.net or the Hawaii website at http://robofesthawaii.webs.com for more information.
